Executive Board
Eilat Herman
Co-President
Hi! I’m Eilat and I’m in the College of Arts and Science class of 2026, majoring in government. I’m from the fantastic state of New Jersey. I’ve always loved to argue, and Moot Court is a place where that is rewarded. Moot has taught me an incredible amount about rhetoric and argument, and I will continue to chase the feeling of perfectly answering a judge’s question I’ve never heard before. It’s also been an amazing experience watching lawyers argue real Supreme Court cases with the Moot team. When I’m not mooting, you can find me doing something related to Model UN, watching a Yankees game, baking snickerdoodle cookies, or being an ice cream connoisseur. My fun fact is that I have nine Yankees hats and four of them are green.
Roma Jha
Co-President
Hi! My name is Roma Jha, and I’m a sophomore in the School of Health. I’m studying Healthcare Management and Policy. I’m from New Jersey, but fortunately not as enthusiastic about the state as Eilat. I’ve always loved puzzles, and working on Moot Court cases is just that. Crafting, revising, and analyzing arguments is like a game – I know the answer’s there, and I have to get creative to find it. I’ve also always enjoyed public speaking, and Moot allows me to improve my ability to think on my feet and clearly communicate my thoughts. Outside of GUMCT, you can find me pursuing advocacy work, watching reality TV, or reading the news. About half of my personality is Philadelphia sports teams (Go Birds!), so you can also find me cheering (or complaining) about the teams!
Victoria Freeman
Treasurer
Hi, I’m Victoria and I’m a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences double majoring in Economics and Government. I’ve lived in New York City my entire life! I love Moot Court because it’s fun: I get to think on my feet and construct an airtight argument. Moot has taught me how to read and analyze case law, and I’ve learned to think like a lawyer and apply it to a hypothetical case problem. I’ve become a stronger and more self-assured speaker thanks to Moot. My favorite Moot tradition is getting McDonald’s the night before competition! When I’m not reading case law, I love reading, trying new coffee shops, and wandering DC. A fun fact about me is that I have a peach-faced lovebird named Solstice who flew through my window!
Madison Fox-Moore
Communications Chair
Hi, my name is Madison, and I am a sophomore in the College of Arts and Science majoring in Government with minors in French and Science, Technology, and International Affairs. I’m from the gem of New York State … Syracuse, but am a life-long Boston Red Sox enthusiast. I’ve been doing Moot Court since my first semester at Georgetown, and not only have I come to love reading Supreme Court cases and arguing hypotheticals with the team, I have found some of my best friends here. If I’m not doing Moot (or sending the weekly email), you can find me in a Lau 2 study room, at Yates, watching bad reality TV, or catching a game with Eilat. My fun fact is that I am a triplet (no, we are not identical and no, my siblings do not go to Georgetown).
Owen Reid
Events Chair
Hello! I’m Owen Reid, and I’m a sophomore in the College studying Government, History, and Russian. I hail from the great city of Baltimore, Maryland and I am a very proud Balti-moron. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Moot Court, and I’m very happy to be serving on the Board for the 2024 year. I really enjoy the case reading and preparation aspects of Moot Court, and I’ve grown to really appreciate the Moot Court community. I may go to Law school, but maybe not! Ultimately, I would say what’s kept me coming back to the club isn’t the preprofessional part of the club, but rather the casual yet competitive atmosphere, the lovely community, and the gratification of preparing for oral argument and seeing your preparations pay off. Aside from Moot Court, I do club soccer at Georgetown and you can find me working at the Tombs! I love travelling, food, Premier League and the Orioles! I can solve a rubik’s cube in 10 seconds. 😛
Captains
Lead weekly practices
Jenna Tse
Hi! My name is Jenna Tse, and I’m a first-year in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Government & Philosophy with a minor in art. I’m from Long Island, New York. I’ve always loved to talk and argue, and Moot Court is the perfect way to put those interests to use! Since joining the team, I’ve had the opportunity to both learn about our court system, and work with a fantastic team of hardworking and inspiring mooters. When I’m not mooting, you can find me drawing in an art studio, taking walks around the Georgetown neighborhood, or late night binge-watching any law show.
Anthony Wassink
Hi! I’m Anthony and I am a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Government and double minoring in Philosophy and Music. I’m from California (the best state), in a beach city called Redondo Beach (but you’ll just hear me call it Los Angeles). I’ve been drawn to law for a while – creating arguments that range from balancing different interests, to making distinctions between cases, to creating your own ideas about what certain rights entail never gets old to me. As a proud and frequent debater with my mother, and someone passionate about advocating for other people, I find Moot Court to be a great way to refine my ability to do just that. If I’m not cram reading the cases for next practice, you’ll probably see me watching baseball or hockey, going on aimless nature walks, or listening to music and learning new songs on the piano!
